You’re alone on a desert island. You’re allowed to take ONE sewing pattern but no limits on project supplies. What pattern do you take?
I looooooved this month’s prompt for the Sew 20 Desert Island Tour. It was hard to just choose one pattern out of the endless stash I’ve been collecting (Or downloading! PDF pattern lover over here.), but I finally settled on the Sybil Skirt by Love Notions.
Before I went back to work after maternity leave I sewed up six, yes six, Sybil pencil skirts and made the box pleat version. They are the perfect addition to my post-partum wardrobe even though I’m struggling to find tops that fit comfortably. Definitely need to find my Desert Island top pattern for the next time I’m stranded! 😉
These are all six versions I sewed up during maternity leave nap time!
This pattern would be the one coming with me because it is one of the most versatile patterns I own with SEVEN options on it’s own. Plus, there is a bodice option to go with any of the skirt bottoms if you download the Tessa Sheath Dress. How awesome is that? I’m planning to make a LBD out of the Tessa bodice and box pleat option. Dresses are a big hole that needs filled in my closet!
If you were stranded and could only pick one pattern to sew, but had unlimited supplies, which one would it be? //Victoria
