Hello, blogosphere! You may have been wondering where I’ve been wondering where I’ve been for five months or so, or maybe not. Blogging with an infant, full-time job and life outside of sewing has been hard. I love it, so I’m going to try and keep up with it.
One exciting update I have to share is a new pattern I tested for Love Notions! So many of Tami’s patterns are staples in my wardrobe (Sybil, Tessa, and Canyon to name a few), and I just love how she operates her business. Did you know her PDF patterns are trimless? And you only need to print your size? LOVE.
Her latest pattern is launching today (I believe) and I’m in love. The Whistler Pullover is the hoodie I’ve been searching for you guys! My tested version is from Version 2, but I have a few more of these planned. It is such an easy pullover for winter. Plus you can dress it up or down! I’m thinking about making a shawl collar version for work.
I took my photos inside because A. it’s cold, B. I honestly forgot tester photos were due and C. it’s been such a crazy week. Such is life!
My tester version is made out of a damask double knit from Cali Fabrics. I sewed up a size large of the banded, cuffed hoodie, and I love it. It was mentioned several times in testing that this pattern is made for light layers, and there will be a big fabric post that I will link back to later.
If, like me, you are a Love Notions fangirl, you’d expect a lot of options from one of Tami’s patterns. This pullover does not disappoint! The options are endless and include a cowl instead of a hood, hemmed instead of banded, as well as tunic options.
I have a few other posts lined up with other tests I’ve completed over the past few months. That’s where I’ve been instead of on the internet…sewing, sewing, sewing! Is there any other way?
Have you sewn up a Love Notions pattern before? What do you think of the Whistler?
