I’m back today for the Spring Into Color Tour hosted by Sewing By Ti. This month’s tour follows the Pantone color palette for Spring 2018. I was really excited for this theme because I love to sew and wear color. I’m all about neutrals with pops of color, but sometimes you have to just go for it, you know?
My pattern choice for this tour is the Wedgwood Circle Skirt by Straight Stitch Designs. This is a pattern that has long been on my list, and I’m not sure why I waited so long to add it to my pattern stash! It’s the perfect woven circle skirt, and it came together so easily. I’ve had many issues sewing woven circle skirts in the past, but not this time around.
I sewed a straight 16 based on my natural waist measurement, and it it fits perfectly. I went with the knee-length and it hits just right. It’s perfect for work or weekend wear, and I can’t wait to get a ton of wear out of it this Spring and Summer!
The fabric is a gorgeous twill from Joann. It’s from the Spring 2018 line by Nicole Miller, and it was 70% when I was hunting for fabric–I couldn’t pass it up! I’m pretty sure every single color in the Pantone Top 12 is in there.
I’m 99.9% positive that this skirt will make an appearance on Easter Sunday. It’s the perfect mix of neutrals and bright pops of color that I need in my life!
Have you made the Wedgwood yet? What are you sewing for Spring/Summer right now?
Don’t forget to follow the other lovely bloggers on this tour (the schedule is below)! As always, thanks for reading my blog.
