Remember that time I said I was going to make a dozen v-necks? Well, I didn’t make that many (cough..yet..cough), but I did find a new summer staple that will be multiplied in my wardrobe over the next three months: Greenwood by Kimberly of Straight Stitch Designs!
If you’re looking for a easy, quick pattern that yields great results—this is it! I sewed it up in a gorgeous cheetah cotton jersey blend I found on girlcharlee.com. I photographed it last night with a pair of RTW black jeans, but it can go with anything! I’m currently wearing it under a jean jacket and threw on a black maxi skirt. Nice and simple!
Greenwood has a wider neckline and TWO back options (high or low). I chose the low back option, and it’s perfect for a hot summer day!
If you’d like to sew up an easy tank (tonight, really, if you have the time) now, you’re in luck because the pattern is on sale for $7! It’s a great staple that you won’t regret.
Note: I was a tester for the Greenwood Tank by Straight Stitch Designs. All opinions are my own.
In other news, the hubs and I celebrated our third anniversary yesterday. We started a tradition on our first anniversary where we take a photo every year with a photo from last year (thank you, Pinterest!). It’s a fun way to look back on the year and see where we were last year!
