Sunday Lately: Updating, Remembering, Needing, Wearing, Being

Sunday Lately with Blogger Tribe

In an effort to become a better blogger this year, I joined a really great support group called Blogger Tribe on Facebook. Check it out, and if it seems like it could be for you…join up! They host a lovely link-up called Sunday Lately and I’m hoping using it as a way to at least post her once a week. It’s also a great way to reflect on what’s going on in my life!

This week’s theme is updating, remembering, needing, wearing and being. I’m a little late to the party today, but hey, better late than never!

We are finally updating our kitchen/mudroom floors after living with CARPET in them both for two years! I think having a baby on the way has finally put this project to the top of the priority list, and I am not complaining! My hubby, dad and some friends will be ripping up the gross, tan carpet this week and laying down a groutable vinyl tile over the weekend. I can’t wait to share before and after photos once everything is done!

I’m at least trying to remember all of the things I need to do before I jet off for my last work trip before the baby is here. I’m grateful to have a doctor’s appointment in the morning, so I’ll be able to feel good about traveling. Trying to remember to take it easy this week and take my time getting around will also be important.

My cookbooks need to find a new home somewhere in our house! They are being located from their previous place above a china cabinet, as we are moving that piece as we prepare to move our office space (just a desk/computer/printer) to a large nook area in our kitchen. I’ve gathered a lot of cookbooks over the years, and I’ll definitely evaluate whether they are all necessary. There are some I just can’t give up (Joy of Cooking, all my Pioneer Woman cookbooks). Do you have a special way you store your cookbooks?

A huge smile on my face for a number of reasons! One obvious one is that our floors are finally being replaced–yay! I’m also smiling because I finished my Stitch Block Cowl after two years of stop and go progress. It’s pictured above, and I’m just stoked it’s finally done. And that I get to wear it!

I can't believe I'm finally done with this cowl. I bought the yarn almost two years ago!

I’m being a little lazy because I should be packing, but I kind of wanted to get this up! Plus, I’m hanging out in the living room with my hubby as I type, and that’s the best. I’ll miss him while I’m away this week (plus I know he’ll be worried about me traveling).

Okay, that’s it for me. Don’t forget to check out Blogger Tribe! //Victoria
