I’m really excited to share my latest test with you: the Sling Bag by Madeit Patterns! This is a unique and versatile bag that you are going to want to sew for summer. I’m already planning another version!
I made my tester version of the Sling Bag from a mid-weight light blue cotton and lined it with a decor fabric sample that I had purchased at my local antique shop a few years ago. For my next version I plan to use a canvas for the main part and then a fun quilting cotton for the lining.
My favorite feature on this pattern is the hidden iPhone pocket located in the strap. It is the perfect place to keep my phone safe but also within reach when needed.
There is also a smaller zippered pocket when you lift the flap of the bag. Perfect for little things that need to be in reach. Also included, and you can see in the photo below, is a key loop option for your keys! I don’t know about you, but I am always digging in my purse when I get to my car to find my keys. Not when I’m wearing this awesome bag!
The Sling Bag pattern has three options that are perfect for the whole family: mini, midi, and maxi. I made the maxi, and it is perfect for any occasion! I was able to fit my DSLR and a few accessories (this case has been one of my favorite purchases for my camera in the last five years!), Kindle, Leuchtturm, keys, a pen and iPhone.
I received this pattern for free after testing in exchange for my time, fabric, and knowledge during the testing process. I’m sharing it here on my blog as a part of my Pattern Testing series. All opinions are honest and my own. I really love this bag, and I hope if you try out the pattern and feel the same!
